routineQ
Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
In short:
- Your routines, schedule, session history, and settings are stored on your phone.
- An account is optional and only for routineQ Pro’s cloud sync (coming soon). If you sign in with Google, we store your email and your synced data so you can use it on your other phones.
- No ads and no analytics in the app.
- To manage subscriptions, Google Play and RevenueCat process your purchases and an app ID.
- You can delete your data, and your account if you have one, at any time.
This policy covers the routineQ Android app and the website at routineq.com (together, “routineQ”). routineQ is made by the routineQ team (“we”, “us”), based in Pakistan. If you have a question about this policy, write to support@routineq.com.
Information stored on your phone
routineQ stores the following only on your device, in the app’s private storage: the routines you create and their steps, your weekly schedule, your session history (what you ran, when, and for how long), your settings, and the name you enter on your profile, if any. Unless you turn on cloud sync (see below), this information never leaves your phone through routineQ and we have no access to it. The timer works without an internet connection.
Your session history can describe your exercise and other activity. Without an account it stays on your device, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, routineQ schedules them on your phone to mark the end of a step while your phone is locked and, if you turn it on, to send a daily reminder of the routines planned for that day. These notifications are created on your device. No notification content is sent to us or to a notification service.
Subscriptions (routineQ Pro)
Payments for routineQ Pro are handled by Google Play under Google’s terms and privacy policy. We never see your payment card or billing details.
To know whether Pro is active on your device, routineQ uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. When the app opens, and when you buy or restore a subscription, the app sends RevenueCat a random identifier created for your installation, together with your Google Play purchase details if you have any (product, purchase and expiry dates, and purchase token) and basic technical information such as the app and Android versions. Like any internet service, RevenueCat also receives your device’s IP address when the app connects. This happens whether or not you subscribe. RevenueCat does not receive your name, your email address, or anything from your routines or history. RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf; see RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
We use this information only to provide and manage your subscription, and we do not sell it.
Accounts and cloud sync (routineQ Pro)
Sign-in and cloud sync are coming to routineQ Pro. Using them is optional: routineQ works fully without an account. This section explains what happens if you choose to sign in.
What we receive when you sign in
You sign in with your Google account. Google shares your email address, your name, your profile picture, and an account identifier with us. We store your email address and that identifier to run your account; we use your name and picture only to show you which account you’re signed in with. We never see your Google password.
What we store to sync
While sync is on, routineQ copies your routines, weekly schedule, session history, and settings to our cloud database, so you can restore them on a new phone and keep several phones in step. Your subscription is linked to your account, through RevenueCat, so Pro follows you to a new phone.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Synced data is stored by Supabase, our cloud database provider, which processes it on our behalf; see Supabase’s privacy policy. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each account can only read its own data. We look at synced data only when you ask us to help with a problem, or when the law requires it. We don’t sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and synced data while your account exists. If your Pro subscription ends, your synced data stays available for you to download or delete, and we may delete it after 12 months without a subscription, telling you by email first. Data on your phone is never affected.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all synced data from inside the app, or by emailing support@routineq.com from the address of your account. We delete it from our database within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play. See Delete your data.
Backups by Android
If backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include routineQ’s data in your device backup, which is stored by Google under your account and governed by Google’s privacy policy. We cannot access these backups. You can turn device backup off in your phone’s settings.
Links that open other services
Some links in the app open other services in your browser or their own app, for example Google Play to rate routineQ, the exercise data provider’s website (RepDB), or your email app to send us feedback. What those services collect is covered by their own privacy policies.
This website
The website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or advertising. Our web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, including any details the app adds to a feedback email (the app version and Android version). We use them only to reply to you, and we keep your messages only as long as we need them to help you.
Children
routineQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has created one, write to support@routineq.com and we will delete it.
Deleting your information
- In the app, open Profile › Settings › Data & storage to clear your history or your routines.
- Uninstalling routineQ deletes all of its data from your phone (unless restored from a device backup).
- If you have an account, delete it and its synced data in the app, or email support@routineq.com.
- To delete the subscription records linked to your installation or account, email support@routineq.com. Google keeps its own purchase records under its policies. See Delete your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information about you, to receive a copy of it, or to object to its processing. You can see and change your data in the app, and delete your account there. For anything else we or our service providers hold, write to support@routineq.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Information sent to RevenueCat, Google Play, and our cloud database travels over encrypted connections, and synced data is encrypted at rest. Data on your phone is protected by Android’s app sandbox and your device’s lock screen.
Changes to this policy
If routineQ starts collecting anything new, we will update this policy before that release and change the date above. For significant changes we will also tell you in the app, or by email if you have an account.
